The saga starts out with Yusuke questioning his own purpose in life. Yusuke had previously killed the rogue spirit detective, Sensui, and has no idea what laid in his future. He’s uncomfortable with the way things are and has gotten restless. He seeks the advice of his mentor, Genkai, who sends him off to see the world’s first spirit detective, Kouroko. While there, he meets three demons under the rule of Raizen, Yusuke’s ancestor, and decides to go back to Makai. Yusuke soon goes there to challenge Lord Raizen, and while there, learns of the conflict between the ruling lords. In Demon World there are three rulers Raizen, Yomi, and Mukuro. They each have an equal share of land and they rule over different variety of demons. Raizen is the strongest of the three, and Yomi is the newest to obtain power. The whole conflict began over the argument of eating humans. Raizen said that they should stop eating them, while the other two disagreed. This lead to centuries of enmity between them.

The ending put a smile on my face, Yuske had gone a long way from being the boy who took naps on the school roof. I would be totally awesome if the made a new series about yu yu hakusho like they did in dbz.

I personaly think this is the best anime and manga series out there. The ending leaves you with the satisfied tang of the right amount of fights, violence, blood, and also various emotions like love. The main character is not full of himself nor is he the most powerful ruler. The show does not repeat an idea.(Like DBZ where i can sum up the basic plot like this: Main Character gets powerful, fights some bad dude, gets killed. Repeat that over and over for a series with little bits about other small part characters and thats it) And no one dies unnessesarily. [(not much of a)Spoiler](like Sirius Black in Harry Potter.)[End Spoiler] sorry for the long comment but thats what i think.
~End

P.S. I do want the series to go on, and Yukina to know who her brother is. LONG LIVE YUSUKE DEMON FORM, HIEI THE MOST AWSOME AND COOL PERSON ONE COULD DRAW, AND KURAMA WHO IS THE FIRST ANIME/MANGA… CRUSH I HAVE HAD!!!!!! WOOOOOOOT!!!!!!
That is all.

This series was Great i really loved it and use to watch it wen it was on tv wen i was a kid but never got pass the dark tornement chapter. i always wanted to finish it n im glad that the admins here uploaded it.
All n all the series was kinda short and im really disapointed it ended the show had so much more potential.and they could have expanded more on the tornement. the demon tournement was to clear cut n to the point and cut to the chase made the finall saga kinda anti-clamatic. n would have really loved to c what happend to everyone, so many un answered questions…………
Did Heia finally tell yukina he is her long lost brother?
Did Yukina and Kurabara form a stable relationship?
Is Heia and murouku in a relationship now?
Does kurama find a girlfriend annd y did he reject his yoko side?
Did yuske and keiko finally get married finish skool and stayed in the human world or did he return to demon world and become king????????????
Ad so so so much more i crave to kno…. they should realy have a next season.
P.S. sory for the long comment but i really loved the show and is sorry it ended

Man, I’m glad I finally got to see the last season and the end of season 3 after they abrubtly cancelled it on cartoonnetwork. I have to say, this is by FAR possibly the MOST enjoyable anime series.
I mean, Naruto/Shippuden has awesome fight scenes in it, but this show DEFINITELY has more meaning in it…
… espescially considering how old it is, and it has problaby the MOST satisfying ending i’ve ever seen in an anime show…. Oh well, time to watch Inuyasha! :p
Also, thank you so much for uploading this show, it was my favorite a few years back, and it was a devastating blow to me when they just cut it off without warning.
Tiller77 said this on October 30th, 2007 at 5:59 pm
Yu Yu Hakusho is one of the greatest animated series I have ever seen and I’ve enjoyed every single episode I have had the chance to view. I use to watch this show on CN, but I didn’t make it past the Dark Tournament. I was sad when I couldn’t watch it anymore on t.v. So I searched all over the net to watch it again. The first time was on Youtube. Then, Youtube started to take the episodes off. So I continued my search, viewing some on various websites that was not complete and then I finally ended up here and was able to see every single last one. Danke, Merci Beaucoup, Arigato, THANK YOU!
As for the show, I’m satisfied with the ending even if there are some loose ends. Some of loose ends, I don’t mind in the least because it does leave a little to the imagination. However, like some have said before me, I was hoping they would allow Yukina to find out that Hiei was her brother. Then again, in the manga, Yukina finds out there. Besides, the show achieved what it wanted and that was to focus on the changes each character went through. I also think I wouldn’t be satisfied if they showed if any of the characters got married or whatever. But I guess that’s just me.
Cho said this on November 14th, 2007 at 11:11 am
Absolutley beatiful. Thank you so much for uploading I used to watch this show so much as a kid but i stopped half-way through the Dark Tournament and missed the whole saint beast part but now i’ve seen them all and i have to say this is by far the best anime i have ever watched, even now as it grows old in comparison to newer animes like Bleach or Naruto, this show still defines to me what i means to me what it is to be something special.
There were some loose end but i don’t really mind I think if Hiei had told Yukina he was his brother it would have been against his character and it all really leaves the epilouge to the watcher.
Finally thank you one last time to this site (whoever it’s leaders may be) and FUNimation and Yoshig-something (Yu Yu Hakusho writer) for this great series.
Travis G. said this on November 15th, 2007 at 4:53 pm
there is no way to compare this show to any other anime. It kicks all their butts. When I watch the last episode of any anime, I start to cry, knowing my time with the glorious characters is over, no matter how many times I re-watch it. But this show left me curled up in a ball sobbing my eyes out. Wolf’s Rain is at a close second in that. Both made me brake out in tears as I saw so few episodes left to watch. But, in Wolf’s Rain, it was mostly caused by all of the characters dying.
Seriously, this show had been the first anime I ever saw and I loved it. I still do. Immensely.

ms.reyes said this on January 8th, 2008 at 11:33 pm
series was awesome. THERE ARE NO LOOSE ENDS!
-The change in Hiei’s character by the end of the series and Hiei taking back his mothers’ tear from Kurama signifies his choice to eventually reveal himself to Yukina.
-Yukina has decided to stay in the human world and is friendly with Kuwabara, and Kuwabara’s luck seems to have changed so it’s up to the viewer to infer they’ll get together.
-Yusuke seems to intend to want to return one day to demon world but his choice to fight as a human against Yomi (as well as that mysterious new energy borne out of his feelings towards his friends) lets the viewers know he feels human on the inside, and wants to stay with Keiko.
-sorry for the long post, i just figured the creators should be given more credit than theyve been given by some of these viewers
